Hey there, gorgeous! I’m Lisa. Serial businesswoman and your sister for everything lash-related.
I had an odd problem with lash timing a few months before my wedding, and as we all know, timing is everything in eyelash extensions! The first part of my problem was deciding when to have my individual lash extensions done so that they were fresh for my wedding and also lasted for the duration of my 2-week long honeymoon, and the second part was resting my natural lashes before applying what would be the most important lash set of my life.
My natural lashes are short, incredibly fine, and blonde, which are essentially the worst possible lash characteristics. Simply put, despite using nearly every lash-boosting technique known to man, regular mascara did not work wonders for me in terms of volume. My experience with falsies took a creative turn. Individual eyelash extensions were my favourite, but I hardly ever had the time to visit the salon and take a lash nap. The harshness of the glue used specifically to apply single lashes also caused my natural lashes to become noticeably thinner, so I switched to regular strip lashes. I switched to magnetic lashes after having trouble with having to apply, reapply, reapply again, and remove strip lashes on a daily basis. Both of these were incredibly heavy on my eyes, and by the end of the day, I frequently had very tired eyes.
The thing is, I wasn't the only one experiencing these feelings, so one day, after sharing lash frustrations with a girlfriend over a glass of wine, I made the decision to fall into the rabbit hole of eyelash extensions, and Mink Wink was created.
Mink Wink brings luxury back to eyelash extensions. Mink Wink lashes are vegan and completely cruelty-free because they are made by hand from premium Korean Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT) silk fibers, a high-performance polymer. It's more difficult and expensive to produce, but the end product is an ultra-light, incredibly soft, and realistic-looking lash that will accentuate your natural beauty.
In addition to the care that went into making Mink Wink lashes, we also wanted to ensure that applying and removing them would not harm your natural lashes so that Mink Wink remains a sustainable option to wear. As a result, unlike the quick-bonding super glue used to apply individual eyelash extensions, which contains the harsh substance cyanoacrylate, the adhesive used to apply Mink Wink lashes is free of it.
Cyanoacrylate hardens into a plastic when it cures, but Mink Wink adhesive hardens into a gel that remains malleable and flexible and that can be safely and easily removed by soaking the glue in the remover gel oil from Mink Wink.
